My 4 or 5 - yr - old rooster is sick. He's been sick 3 times before, but within a week or two he was always okay.
This time, his comb is purplish, his waddles are kind of bulbous, and he keeps falling asleep. His poop is mustardish white. I brought him inside, and gave him some blueberries and water.
Please help!
Thanks.

The fact that he's lethargic and has a blueish tint to his comb is an indication of him not getting enough oxygen. This could be due to a number of factors such as pneumonia or a respritory infection or a circulatory malfunction such as congestive heart disease or liver failure. Is the poop watery? Yellow watery droppings could be due to a metabolic problem or digestive problem that causes a preponderance of bile to be excreted.
There are lots of things it could be. I would suggest taking his temperature. A normal temperature for a chicken is 103-105 degrees. An elevated temperature could indicate an infection and you may be able to treat him with antibiotics.
A visit to the vet would be my advice but if you don't have one available....I'd start with the temperature and, if it's elevated, give him antibiotics.
