Hello we've owned chickens for awhile but never had this happen help please! I have a rooster who is usually is very docile and sweet but today I came home to him chasing one of our mallard ducks that had gotten out of the pen. I noticed that the duck was bleeding on the back of it's neck and has a decent surface wound. The mallard seems fine and I cleaned it's wound well.. but my husband says that now since the rooster has "tasted blood" that he will keep trying to attack them and even turn on our other chickens so we have to cull him. I was just wondering if anyone knows anything different I really don't want to lose my Roo but I dont want to lose the rest of my flock to him attacking them . HELP!
