HELP! Rooster has been attacked

I honestly have no idea what happened but when I came out to get eggs I noticed my rooster's head was bleeding, a lot. His comb is torn and there's a lot of dried blood as well. I haven't had chickens for very long so we don't have anything to help him right now. I'll post pictures shortly. What should I put on the wound and how do I help him? He's really sweet and I don't want him to get worse.

Neosporin will be fine to use.
Are the hens attacking him?


You might want to keep him separated until he heals.
