HELP! - Looking for Advice for My Rooster
PIC AND VIDEO BELLOW
Hi everyone, I’m reaching out because I’m not sure what’s going on. He’s been limping and wing dropping, loosing balance, falling foward sometimes and avoiding putting pressure on one leg for over 6 months and it seems to not go away.
The leg looks a little red on the outside but it was not few days ago.
I’ve checked for scaly mites and didn’t see any signs of them. No bumble feet, everything looks normal except the redness right now (picture in the comments)
One of his nails is noticeably smaller than the others.
While he struggles to walk at times, when he really wants to, he can still get around. I even seem he running once, but he spends his day laying down the most.
I’d love any advice or tips from those who’ve cared for chickens or roosters with similar issues. Could it be an injury, a joint problem, or something else? I want to make sure he’s comfortable and getting the care he needs.
Please let me know if you’ve experienced anything like this or have suggestions. I’d truly appreciate your help.
Thank you in advance for your kindness and support!
