Help! Rooster's comb looks strange!

He is a buff orpington rooster. We got our chickens in June. It is winter where we live. As for our ventilation, we have two vents near the roof, two windows, and two big doors with a big hardware cloth door. The big doors are only shut when it is very cold(0 degrees and lower). I'm very worried. He will not let me pick him up. Here is a pic:
 
Looks like frostbite. The black parts will eventually fall off. Put vaseline on their combs to prevent further frostbite. I would close the doors more to keep the cold and drafts out. If you have trouble picking them up, do it at night when they are roosting.
