help roosters comb !

I suspect it's the dry version of fowl pox. It usually looks like this:

However, it can sometimes appear as you're saying. Like in the photos where the non-scabbed bumps are whitish, they can appear more orange.

If it's fowl pox, make sure to give them vitamins/electrolytes in the water a few times a week for the next four weeks. (That's the duration of the virus). Also dress the bumps each with iodine painted on straight. Use a q-tip to dot each sore. That will help prevent much secondary infection.

If his entire comb is swollen, you could use penicillin injections this week for any secondary infection. let us know if you need help with that. There's a certain way to use penicillin shots. You must use the 18 gauge needles as it's thick and the particles are large. You refrigerate it, but you must shake and shake and shake it to get it all into solution. Then it must be room temp, the shot. etc etc. You can PM me or ask here for that info.

Any chance of a photo?

thanks so much yes that is exactly what it looks like just more orangeish sorry no picture my cameras not working but ill put the iodine on it and the vitamins/electrolytes where can i get them?

Vitamins and electrolytes you can easily get at the feed store. Just look for packages that say Vitamins/Minerals/electrolytes for poultry. Save some gas and call before you haul.
