Does anybody know how to house roosters? I ask because one of our mille/fleur boys keeps getting beat up by the hens or his brother? Thank you for any info. :)

No. We have one old English roo in a separate coop and the mille/fleur boys are brothers so they have been living with each other from last year on up until last week when one of them got beat up by some one.

Sometimes that happens with cock birds that are raised together. If the fighting gets too bad, you will have to separate them

Ok. Thanks! We think that it could have been his brother the second time and the roo who got beat up has been living away from him now.

Do you think it would be a good idea to give him his own little flock?

Yeah I agree with him or her. Even if the roosters are brothers they will fight to see who is more dominant and for whose gonna be the alpha male. I used to have two rooster brothers that would fight and the big rooster would pull out his brothers tail feathers to prove he's the dominant.

Ok. And the is the one still living with the hens is actually smaller than his brother.

Thank you! They are both the sweetest little roo s when they are not beating each other up and I would hate to give him away.
