Help! Runny nose!!

Ok so Puddles my baby duck is almost 3 weeks old and I thought maybe he had upper resp so I put him on tetroxy cuz I googled it.. Still has clear runny nose every once in a while... Dosnt sneez. Any info out their? Worried about him! He lives inside the house n his tub is 80deg. I take him outside n he plays for a few min. Did I chill him? What todoooo!!!

Well I would have started with a shallow dish of water for duckling to dunk its bill into to clean the nares. I do not use antibiotics here so sorry but have no advice.

I kinda went through the same thing when I first got my ducklings. My blue Swedish duckling would take a drink of water and it would start coming out of his nose every five seconds. He would shake and bubbles would come out of his mouth. I freaked out. But, it was only the hiccups. Very long hiccups... They went away after about 2 days. I'd probably just say to give it a day and see what happens. Maybe it's a minor thing like I had. Hope everything works out okay!

If you have been giving antibiotics, I suggest you give some probiotics now, to help rebuild gut flora. There are poultry vitamins with probiotics, or some people put a little unflavored yogurt with live cultures in some water.

It might just be water that happend with my pekin duckling a few days ago he would take a drink of water and it would come out of his nose so it might not be serious

Ok cool. Yea somedays he has it some days he dosnt!! And I'm saying "he" but I have no clue what it is lol.
