it’s a process of discovery, we go through trial and error, learning all the time as we do the best we can for our beloved pets, I know. I went through 10 months of different treatments for a duck with aspergillosis and when i was finally able to get her the medicine she needed, it was too late. your sweet duck knows you love him and are trying to help.
i didn’t even know waterfowl could take tramadol, i used to take it years ago and got addicted for a while. it really works well though. what kind of damage do you think it can cause? i think in people it can affect the kidneys or the liver?

I think liver. But too much per online articles can cause toxicity / overdose. He’s heavy breathing, eyes closed, head on ground to the side and I can’t find a vet open. I’m afraid he’s going to pass away overnight and I’m sitting here with him, with my pillow and blanket. I’m so sad that he’s come this far and just completely went downhill it seemed overnight. He hasn’t eaten really in 4 days and he’s just so weak. I’m so, so sad

Thank you. I can’t stop blaming myself. He’s always gotten through these infections, did I harm him with syringe feeding, meds, stress? I’m a mess
