Help saw a bug!

I am new to all this was holding my white chicken and noticed something light tan "run" into her feathers I went looking did not see anything...saw it again today.I am so freaked out just want them to be safe they are all happy have just started laying...Where I work we sell poultry dust is it the same as seven? Will the poultry dust work? Can I use it in the coop too? Please help just so freaked out thanks!

If the poultry dust is diatomaceous earth, yes, it should help keep bugs off, use it in the bedding too!

food grade diatomaceous earth is what you want

DE is good to put in their dustbaths too. Not sure if you have the same things in US but when my hens had a lice
problem I used a drop of Frontline for cats (my vet said it was ok) on them, it worked a treat. I only have a few chickens
though, and they are rather spoilt.
