Yesterday, I noticed that all 8 of my 28-week old RIRs have scabs on their combs & wattles. Some more than others, but they all have it. On searching for "scabs on combs" through BYC, it looks like fowl pox. From what I've read, there's not much than can be done about it, other than painting the scabs with iodine. Can someone confirm that this is fowl pox, and the best way of treating it? Here are 2 of the worse pullets. As a first time chicken owner, I'm nervous about anything that can hurt my little beauties.

Yep. That's fowl pox. Just gotta ride it out. You can put iodine on the nodules and scabs to help dry them up, but that's about it. Dont give antibiotics, wont help because it's a virus. Eggs are safe to eat.
