naaaa I have your solution and it goes like this...

When the egg was leaving the egg factory, the worker responsible for painting all the eggs mixed the wrong colour in his paint gun and mis-painted this egg. QA was obviously on a coffee

break so it slipped passed them too. things only happen every once in a while

seriously tho:
I get these every once ion a while its just a hiccup in the process

i get them all the time from my brown egg layers.. it just has alot of the bloom (coating) on it.. you can rinse it right off and it will be brown

Back when there were jobs, I worked in manufacturing. We saw that kinda thing come out of the paint booths quite frequently.
Now my hens provide me with every-varying paint jobs on the eggs. Some with added texture, just for fun!
