Hi :frow, our Babies are 11 weeks old and we are good and attached to them:hugs. We aren’t allowed to keep roosters and even though I’m new to owning chickens I’m pretty certain that all 3 are boys
Can anyone help verify or clear up whether they are or not?
Also I have someone willing to swap a black girl for one of my whites, If I breed the grey one to a black what colour would I get? (Just out of curiosity) :jumpy

Are silkies loud? If the neighbors don’t know you have boys... is it still a problem? If it becomes one... plead in-experience and ignorance? Sorry, I just don’t agree with the prejudice against roosters! Of course mine are all still very young, so that may change!

And such pretty boys!

I figured as much! :hitMy daughter will most devastated! Thank you for confirming!
Can't properly express my sorrow, both for you and your daughter. :hugs Hopefully a fluffy Silkie pullet will console, even if a little. :)

Mine certainly enjoy making their pathetic voices heard. :hmm;)

I was told they’re not loud but then I googled “silkie rooster crowing” needless to say, I don’t think my neighbors will be impressed :gig but I am going to try and keep one and give a crow collar a try! :fl And when I swap one of my roos for my friends pullet, I’ll pray for lots of Wee little baby girls!! :lau
