Here we go again!! I just got 3 chicks in the spring, 1 of them an Americana who quickly showed me that he is a roo. I just picked up two 'replacement' americana's frkm a farmer last week, and I am fearing the worst - Maybe both roo's! Both have different sized combs and different feathering patterns (one has a long feathery tail and one has a stumpy no feather butt!) but I see pink on their combs at 6-7 weeks and I fear this is early. Can anyone take a look and back me up or prove me wrong? I know 6 weeks is early, but I was pretty sure about my current roo at 7 weeks and by 10 weeks he was already crowing! The two photos look the same, but they are actually different birds.
