So basically as the post suggests, I need help sexing my light brahmas. They were all supposed to be female, however I think Kirby may be a little Cockrell. I'm new to owning chickens so this is based purely on what's available through Google searches lol. I've heard Brahmas are a slow maturing bird and harder to sex, but maybe someone on here could tell better then myself. Kirby has turned super red I'm the combs the last 2 weeks, and this past week has started growing bright red wattles as well....is Kirby a roo? All of the brahmas in the photos are the same age.

Yeah, he's definitely a cockerel. Updated photo of him at 10 weeks and my husband says he heard the most pitiful attempt at crowing out of him the other day. I have read brahmas are typically later to develop and the roos to crow so I was shocked when my husband told me that. He said it was hilarious though, cracking like a 12 year old boy 🤣

I love when they try to crow like one of the big guys. My youngest one started at 4 weeks. It was Iike a high-pitched donkey. Really pathetic.
