My two barred rock chicks look pretty different from each other- even when they were tiny chicks, they both had the narrow stripe indicating they were pullets, though Pepper was practically solid black with just a few speckles on her beak, while Scully had a white/yellow patch on her chin and belly, her beak being almost fully black.
Now that they’re larger, the barring seems really different on both, and Pepper seems to be larger with a redder crest.
Is it possible to tell if she’s actually a rooster yet? No roos allowed in town so I’m hoping not, I’m in love with these babies and hope I won’t have to get rid of any!
