I really need some help sexing my chicks. I'm fairly confident with my BRs, but I have no idea on the EEs. First up are the BRs. I'm pretty sure I have two pullets and one roo. I think they're about 7 weeks old right now if that helps.

Now I was told the EEs were from a pullet run, but the more I look at them the more I suspect roos. I could be completely wrong though. There may be duplicates because I have a hard time telling a couple of them apart. I have 6 total and they're about 10.5 weeks. And sorry about the missing head in the last one, they weren't cooperating!

Thanks!

All your BRs look like pullets to me, and i dont know EE so someone else will have to take a look.

All chicks above are girls! What luck!

Seriously? That seems too good to be true. Actually, that means I'm going to have to pick which ones I want to keep which is going to be difficult. Our coop isn't really big enough for more than 6 or so. Should I wait a little longer before choosing just to be sure?

Here is my obvious BR roo @ not even 5 weeks old. Yours is definitely a girl!

That's quite a little comb he's got there! My BR I thought was a roo does have a bigger comb than the other two. Are they at an age where even the pullets will start developing bigger combs?

Here's another picture of one of my EEs. It's the one standing in the middle of the three in the first photo. Do the darker red/orange feathers on the wings not mean roo? I've been reading so much about how to sex them I might just be making myself paranoid. LOL! Also, do the bits of blue showing up on her mean she'll end up with blue feathers eventually? Sorry for all the questions! Hopefully someone can help a noob out ;)

If you EE was a boy, it would look like this Which is comparable colouring. Your girl does not have the colour to be a boy. Girls will usually only have one pattern to their feathers with a different colour head. Boys can have all types of patterns, making them look almost like a quilt. All different patterns knitted together.

my male - See how dark his wings are? How the patterns are wild and not just so like the female?
