I would think so.. what about its umbilical cord? It's still attached, will it dry up and fall off on its own?

yeah that's a bit universal for baby's it will fall off on it's own don't pull it.

Yeah I started researching and found a lot of horror stories of chicks stepping on it and pulling out their insides, so I tied it off with floss and cut it down to prevent that from happening. It worked! Bled just a tad (less than a drop) but dried up after a few minutes.

yeah a small trim away from the main body is ok but never pull on it
