Help sick 5 1/2 week pullet!

Sorry that she is not doing any better. Mareks disease is in the environment, and fairly common. Hatchery chicks don't usually come with it, but they can get it in many homes if the virus is present in the environment from dust and dander. It can last up to 7 years in one's environment. Here are some examples of chicken slings or chairs to keep her upright and hopefully, cleaner. Keep her food and water within reach.

unfortunately this story ends very sadly. This morning when checking on my sick pullet that my 3 year old named Downward Dog, I found her having trouble breathing... she could still eat and drink and is still pooping, but with no sign of any kind of recovery... Throughout the day i checked on her to find her breathing heavy, and having tremors. I couldn't bare to see her in anymore pain, and after reading countless other threads on this forum I decided the best thing to do was to end her misery. This afternoon I made a very difficult decision, I had to euthanize my now 6 1/2 week pullet :(

RIP Downward Dog.
