Bring her inside,feel up and down leg,you are looking for any swelling/bone displacement which could indicate a fracture or sprain. Look at the bottom and around toes to rule out bumblefoot. You can give her an epsom salt soak,great for sprains/swelling. If she is holding leg up and appears fluffed up she may be in pain,you can give her a baby aspirin 81mg or a reg 325mg aspirin,dose is 25 mg per lb of body weight(safe for silkies,i have given aspirin to a 5 month silkie)crush and place in water(my preference)or sprinkle over feed,make sure she is eating/drinking.I saw her limping when I was just out side to check on her we have a larger rooster an he jumps on her what can I do![]()
