I have 5 Peking ducklings. About 6-7 weeks old. I go check on them this morning and one is soaking wet and can hardly walk. The others are ok. I have him now, wrapped in towels, trying to warm him up and he’s breathing with mouth open and tongue hanging out. Won’t drink water. Any ideas??? Thank you

The poor thing!
I really wish I was a duck expert! I will try to tag all the duck experts I know...
Really hop your duck survives!

Where were they? Can you show some picks? Is he wet because it rained? Sounds like he is panting. Either it’s hot outside or a predator came and he is frightened.

When you say he can hardly walk is he like limping? Is there any blood? Pictures will help. I would go check on the rest though. It sounds more like an ingury than an attack to me.

The ducklings were in my garage, door Closed, in an enclosure with shavings underneath. They were outside all day yesterday as it was really nice out. He’s finally warmed up and fur (they still don’t have all their feathers) when he tried to walk he just falls over. It’s like he has no coordination, no energy. Got on his back and just laid there. He did drink some water

Do you have any idea why he is wet? Is it from their water bowl?

So weird, has he been pecked at at all? Any symptoms of this before? Hoping he makes it!
