Help!!! Sick goose!

You can use a 12 ml syringe but you’ll only be able to give her a broth through it, you’ll administer it like liquid meds.

Basically you open up her mouth, slide the syringe in as far back to her righ as you can and hit the plunger. If she tries to throw it up, shake it out, let her.
What am I giving her in the syringe, the amoxicillin? Or boiled food mixture?

I was talking about the feed, but I’m not sure that’s really possible with a 12ml syringe.

What form of amoxicillin do you have? If it’s pill form just pop it down her throat.
Have you given geese amoxicillin before? Is it safe? I have 500mg fish pills that are powder in a capsule. I also have penicillin too. I just don’t want to hurt her even more

Amoxicillin is a common antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections in poultry, including geese. However, some sources suggest being cautious when using it. While amoxicillin is generally safe, there are potential risks to consider. Some sources claim that antibiotics, like amoxicillin, may not always work or could be harmful to geese and ducks. Therefore, it’s essential to be cautious and closely monitor your goose for any adverse effects.

How's she doing today?
She’s still perky, nibbling my fingers like she always does. Standing all the time still. Mostly on one foot. Wags her tail. Basically the same as yesterday but now I’m starting to see specks of blood in her poop beginning last night. But the specks aren’t in there every time she poops either. She’s still not eating. And if she does it just nibbles. She drinks plenty of her supplemented water. Gave her amoxicillin 500mg at 8:15 this morning in a 1cc syringe. She’s still very vocal too! She doesn’t seem sad or depressed. Her feathers aren’t muffled. She looks good, just the weight loss and ability to move around is impaired

How's she doing today?
She was supposed to have a vet appt this morning at 9 but it snowed way too much here last night. I have the appt rescheduled for tomorrow at 2:30. I wanted to give her the antibotics today just incase it was a bacterial infection and hopefully she can make it until tomorrow. Who knows, it might help
