HELP! SICK HEN!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INFORMATION! I SURE HATE TO LOSE HER. SHE IS ONE OF THE MOST INDEPENDENT HENS I HAVE EVER HAD. SHE AND THE OTHERS MEET ME AT MY CAR DOOR WHEN I GET HOME. I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG WHEN SHE WASN'T WITH THEM THE OTHER DAY. SHE IS THE LEADER OF THE BUNCH. I HAD A ROOSTER TACKLE HER ABOUT 2 DAYS AGO. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A ROOSTER DO THAT. HE IS GONE NOW. HE IS A BARRED ROCK. I GAVE HIM AWAY TO A FRIEND. WE HAD HER UP ON THE CARPORT IN MY LAP TRYING TO MASSAGE HER CROP AND SHE WANTED DOWN AND I LET HER DOWN TO WALK AROUND A BIT AND HE CAME OUT OF NOWHERE AND TACKLED HER AND SENT HER SKIDDING ABOUT 3 FEET AND HIM ON TOP OF HER. HE WAS GONE THAT NIGHT.

I will let you know how she does. She is a very sweet hen. When I feed them, she gets in the container where I keep the bag. She is one of the most nosey hens I have ever had too.

When you get ACV, try to get the unfiltered type, it has the "mother" at the bottom. That will start her gut flora get back to normal. Put about 1-2 tablespoons per gallon of water.
Also get plain yogurt, your hen doesn't need the extra sugar or sweeteners. You might want to scramble up an egg to give her some extra protein. Applesauce, chopped up tomatoes.
Make a wet mash from her feed, so its softer and easy to eat.

I hope she gets better! Please keep us updated.

I will and thank you so much for the advice. I really hate to see this girl sick. She is usually so independent. Have you had many roosters that are that aggressive with hens? I have had chickens all of my life and have never had a rooster like this one. :
