Sick Peafowl about 5 months old. Noticed last night it was away from the rest of the flock. Walking slowly, hunched up and its feathers puffed up. Started the babies on Tylan 1 1/ 4 tsp per 6 gallons of water.

We had 2 sick babies earlier this month, first one we noticed on a Fri night, and it was gone by the morning. I started corid. A few days later another started looking hunched and puffed. Started hand feeding and oral dosage of corid, baby was very light so i thought it was dehydrated. Lost second baby after a few days of treatment. By then it had runny nose, and it eyes we dry gooey and closed

Their pen is 10x27, enclosed barn stall, adults are in a stall next door. No signs of any issues with the adults.

Any help would be appreciated.

It's probably blackhead (histomoniasis). Sick ones need to be inside where it's warm and treated with no less than 30mg/kg metronidazole (Fish-Zole, Flagyl, Meditrich) by mouth once a day for five days. Can you post a picture of poop? If they aren't drinking and eating they need to be tube fed 30ml/kg every 6-8 hours.

If you can afford it, take your bird to the vet ASAP!
