I noticed one of my 2 month old pullets looked a bit off @5 days ago - nothing dramatic, she just seemed a bit slow and a bit fluffed up. She hadn't improved so 3 days ago I put her in a dog crate to monitor her input/output. The first day she ate a bit, drank a lot and pooped normally. She didn't move around much, but did stand occasionally.
She wasn't interested in eating crumbles so yesterday I cooked up some plain quinoa, which I gave her with a small amount (2 tbsp) of yoghurt and canned cat food, which she ate.
I just lifted her up and she's been sitting on a fairly big pile of poop. It appeared to be full of worms, but on closer inspection it was undigested quinoa (which does resemble tape worms) and cat food. It looks pretty much like it did before she ate it. There was a bit of yellow in it as well. It didn't look like typical diarrhea, just totally undigested food.
She hasn't moved much in the last two days - she just lays down, eats and drinks a small amount. I did put poultry vitamins in her water when I first crated her.
She's been in a large grow out pen with 27 other teenagers - none of them appear sick.
I've been reticent to throw anything else at her, but at this point its not looking good. Should I worm her? More vitamins? High protein food?
