Help - Sick Saxony Duck

I'm so sad and sorry for you and Gretel. She was such a beautiful duck. Hopefully you will get some answers about what the heck happened to her. :hugs
Thank you .
My Saxony flock is now just down to 6. 2 Drakes and 4 ducks. Very few hatched this year and she was 1 of only 2 females. Her twin, Gretel II is doing great but is staying much closer to our young drake now that her sister is gone.

Thank you all for your support. Few people understand how much one becomes so attached to a duck. I’m so lucky to have a wonderful husband who supports my need to travel 3 hours this morning and spend >$500 for a sweet young duck.
It will take a few weeks to get the autopsy / toxicology report back, I will share if they find anything out.
RIP Gretel.
God bless.so sorry for you.

Can’t tell, poop not seen recently. She is very week and limp this morning. I’ve left her in the coop in a large nesting tub. Breathing is more labored and I fear I will need to take her to local Vet for euthanasia today.
Seems young to be egg bound. She could be constipated it is painful for them they stop eating, I gave mine 1/2 dropper of mineral oil she was pooping by next morning I put her back in broader mixed some coconut oil in food and vitamins in water kept her separated one more day. Then she was fine

Just wanted to let everyone know that vet called with results of Gretel’s narcolepsy.
Turns out she had pneumonia that put her system into shock.
Most likely some sort of bacterial strain. Fortunately the rest of the flock is still fine and her twin Gretel II (on upper right pictured above) is thriving .
