HELP sick turkey

Virus or Bacterial, 99% of respitory problems are quite contageous. If you have a big flock you should be on the watch.
My turkey had something different, it was the puffball eye and snot. She recovered really fast though and I was relieved only the tom got it next and only half as bad.

Also be careful about the Tylan 50 it doesnt help for some infections and doesnt do anything to viral entities. Dont use it on any other birds if it does nothing for the first, because that means you have a virus or gram negitive bacterium. (Tylan 50 dont work on those)

When I treated my birds I gave them one smaller dose of Enroflacxin and waited to see if there was any effect. When I saw improvement I gave the rest of the single dose and then left it to the bird to finish the infection off.
Shows me shes a tough bird and lowers the chance of overtreating as well as the creation of drug resistant strains.

She did great and the tom didnt need anything to kick the bugger.

Good luck to you both.

i got more off less the same sickness to my male turkey swollen eyes with a awefull smell from the nose and watery eyes. I read about the symptomes of the sickness and find out it is mycoplasma and can treat with Oxytetracylin . I once have a peacock male with the same sickness with the same pop eye and gave the same medicine and it recover well
