Hi!

Pretty bird!

Are you sure it's that old though? I'd guess closer to 3-4 months, but maybe it is that old.

I don't know for sure here. They do say some girls can get nubs for spurs, and by nub that I've seen, just a bump if that.

The way the poof head isn't making a ball, and sort of blending more with the hackles on the neck, leans cockerel too.

It's comb sure looks like a girls though, but I had one, a chocolate, that didn't get a walnut comb for 8 months.

The tail might be a good sign too as it looks like it's getting some regular feathers in there. A cockerel's tail is "messy" whereas a pullets tail is more of neat ball.

I still wouldn't definitely say one way or the other though. Silkies can fool us and they have me!

She's a Pullet.
I've got a Chinese Silkie hens with spurs. She grew them at 6 months.

Thanks and if I’m being honest all ik is that it’s between that age the person I got from told me in December that it was 2 months and then i texted her again around February and she said it might be 4-5 months then so I’m guessing it’s around those ages and it’s cause the spurs from one side it’s like an extra toe with a little sharp thing and in the other one it’s just a small sharp thing and also the head looks a little messy but then it look like pompom I’m just scared it’s a girl and I give it away thinking it’s a boy

I would just wait a couple more weeks. I've raised purebred silkies for many years and think I know what I've got, only to be fooled later.

None of my pullets ever got a pointed spur, but it could be the lines I have that just don't.

Hey and even if it grew an extra like toe looking thing with that sharp little thing and what do you think about the comb and crest
She's a Pullet overall. Not abnormal for some females to have streamers, especially the original Chinese kind. I've had a few.
