This has been going on for a couple weeks with my chicken and my mother in law checked it as it "just being her skin" and I thought maybe she just had dry skin from the cold autumn weather we have here. But we have mites (already did round 1 coop treatments for it, will also order DE) and I'm scared this has something to do with that or if she's sick or anything. I really don't know and am very scared as this chicken, Peepsy, my youngest and smallest chicken is. She broke her leg shortly after birth and has a stunted growth because of it and ever since I've been very sensitive about her. I just don't want to be too late if it is something bad.

She still eats and drinks normally, she runs and forages and dust bathes and flies a little (she's always flown more because of the broken leg). Right now the chickens have two water stations: one with apple cider vinegar in the water and one with colloidal silver.

For reference with the pictures, she's the chicken in my profile picture and in one of them I got her standing next to her half sister (same father). She's the all black one with the gray flaky face and her sister is the colorful breasted one.

The Black Silike looks malnourished and sick.

What are you feeding them and can you get her to a vet?

DE isn't a proper treatment fro mites get something that has a active ingredient of Permethrins or Carbaryl like Garden Spray Poultry Dust.

We feed them normal chicken feed we get from the store. Corn, seeds, etc. They also get all table scraps that chickens can eat.

Would we need a vet? She hasn't shown any symptoms like lethargy or anything.

Her skin looks very abnormal and dry i don't think your mite treatment is working.Cut down on the corn and seeds. It has High fat content and low protein content common cause of Liver disease. You dont need to go to a vet but there is definitely something wrong with her.

Should I then switch to a high protein diet? More eggs, meats, broccoli, and cooked beans?

I would giver her 16% to 18% percent layer feed with the occasional offering of eggs and tuna.
16-18% protein? I just checked and their current food has 9.2% raw protein. Also as an opinion question, my chicken is very small and if I try to feed her something special the other chickens will push her out of the way without letting her have anything. I should probably separate her from the rest of the chickens entirely before a special meal like tuna right?

Can you take a picture of your feed or state the name?

Yes.
