I have a week old Sebbie gosling that I believe has a slipped tendon. Any advice??
Quote:It wasn't a goose, but I had it happen in a Pea chick.
I was afraid I'd have to put it down, and instead I broke the tips off of a Q-tip, and carefully used medical tape to place them on either side of the hock to hold the tendon in place. It's hard to get it tense enough to hold the tendon and yet not so tight as to cut off circulation, but it can work. I left it on for 4 days and it was perfect after that- I was shocked! This poor baby kept getting its leg stuck in its wing...it was horrible.
Best of luck!
Thanks sweetie. It just happened so I caught it early.
Laurie, this is one of the best overall sites I've found - I hope you can make the necessary adjustments from chicken to goose. Hope your little gosling is OK.
Thanks so much Gail. I'm willing to try anything!
