help! snake stuck!

Gift Card? Heck, I TAKE him out to dinner!
ANother thing that will work to relax reptiles and herps (or calm them) is to pop them in the fridge for a few minutes.
The hard thing about snakes is that they manage to get twisted around every little crack and corner. SO they are hard to get out of things.

While this works, it is not a recommended practice. Exposing a snake (or any other herp) to rapidly fluctuating temperatures (i.e. warm room, cold fridge, warm room) causes additional stress to the animal, and can very easily lead to other issues, i.e. respiratory infections, regurgitation if the animal has eaten recently, etc.

Putting the snake in a dark, covered enclosure can work just as well. We work with upwards of 2500 snakes at our facility, including some extremely flighty, defensive animals (and venomous - cobras, rattlesnakes, puff adders, etc), and "refrigeration" is not an accepted procedure due to the potential for negative effects.

Just my $.02...

Kudos to the guy that got the snake freed! A gift card would suffice!
