Help! Soft egg break inside chicken

Hi yall...I've read some threads about this but not sure what to do at this point. Daisy has had an egg break inside her. She has had some of the yolk and white come out, I found the soft shell in the run this morning so assuming thats all out but this is the second time this has happened. She did lay a hard egg two days ago, which was after the first soft shell that broke in her. She had been acting fine and laid an egg so I thought all was well. Today she is very lethargic...I went to TSC for antibiotics and all they had is Duramycin 72-200 for COWS!! I bought it anyway, haven't given her any because obviously I'm scared to. What do yall think? Take her to the vet?? I gave her a warm bath, extra calcium and separated her. (She's in my house) Any ideas would be appreciated. Oh BTW she is 6 months. Laid eggs fine up until about a week and a half ago when this started.

Can you call TSC and ask if they have FishMox (amoxicillin?) Dosage is 125 to 250mg orally twice a day for 7-10 days. You can also find it online. Sorry about your hen. What do you feed her? Could you try giving her some calcium orally for the next few days? She may have some problem with her shell gland in her oviduct, or she could be experiencing a reproductive infection.

I looked for that, they said they have been out of that and tylan for a while and not sure when it will come in. Not sure my girl is going to make it. she's very weak, only drinking water not eating.

I feed her the layer feed from tsc...she was laying beautiful eggs until one she didn't and we found a softshell hanging from her vent, we bathed her and gave her calcium, she perked up, laid an egg a day later and has been fine until today. I did give her a small piece of calcium pill.

The 250 mg capsules are less expensive.

I had a chicken jus like that. Found her with a soft shell bit hanging out of her butt. I pulled it out, and kept and eye on her. She was fine. No issues, but this may not help your situation. Avery
