So I have these chickens they are young started laying a good few weeks ago in total there are 4. (They are cinamon queens tjeu are 22 weeks) one always lays good solod egg, onw I dont think has at all and two seen to lay soft shell/shell less eggs. They are on layer blend a d have access to oyster shells.

THE ODD THING is when I gave them poultry cell water additive (that can only do 1 week at a time) all shells were fine and it has no calcium in it.

So I'm just confused on what to do, they lay at such random times I'm alsways stressed running out there hoping I can catch the bad eggs before they eat them.

Any advice is appreciated

No, Poultry Cell doesn't have calcium, nor does Nutri-Drench.

They should not have that daily, though; just a couple times a week is good. They can get diarrhea if they get too much of it.

Your pullets are still young layers. Sometimes it takes several weeks for them to get it down. Yes, they can be sporadic too and lay a couple of good eggs, then a shellless egg again.

Having them on layer feed plus providing oyster shell is doing all they need to ensure they're getting enough calcium. Any day they should all be laying perfect eggs.

Yea I don't give it daily I only did a little test period to see if it would change anything but then got confused why good shells on it for all and back to usual off.

Thank-you feeling a little less stressed

It can definitely take a little while for them to straighten out any laying issues. Soft shells, shell-less, bloody eggs, membrane eggs and giant double yolks were a daily occurrence when my group of 20+ new layers started producing eggs. Of course it was only a few individual birds having such issues and so far it seems they've been doing better as it has been a while since I've last seen any shell issues and double yolks.
