help something is trying to get my chickens

[first time farmer]

hi this is my first posting. It is also my first winter with chickens. i am on school vacation right now but i went home 2 days ago and saw that the wire that powers the light i use in the coop was pulled out and something was trying to dig under the coop. There was also scratch marks on the door. The door is the only place where something could get in so i put another lock on the bottom of the door. I saw two dogs that i have never seen before running around my yard. Could they have done this or is it something else and what should i do to prevent anything else from doing this.

I would put my money on the dogs because of the scratch marks on the door! Better watch them close! Good luck.
