Help, splayed legs!

After all of my hatching days, it's finally happened..Anyone, can you share what would work best??? Thanks!

Right....get the chick off smooth surfaces which cause the problem.

Two person job ideally.Take a plaster (Band Aid)....finger size. Someone holds the body of the chick, the other person carefully pulls the legs into line. Apply the Band Aid between the legs at the top of them (pad between the legs, sticky bits around each leg), making sure the vent is not covered.. The chick will immediately stand upright, and will function normally. Leave the Band Aid on for 4-5 days or until it drops off, only replacing it if the chick is not walking normally. Always worked for me.

Thank you. Have the band aid on. The chick can't stand up though. Maybe I have them too close together. It's late, still young, just hatched today, so maybe just sleeping on it tonight will be ok. It looks right, will try again tomorrow. It really does take two people!

i find makeup pads with 2 holes works best on baby birds and it doesn't hut the chick when put on or taken off

I really liked the sight that was given...yes! They do grow fast! So, now that the band aids have been on for almost a full day, I am going to take those off. Really am dreading that..like someone else said..the make up pads would be better so as not to hurt them. Poor baby. Now, will just keep it in a the glass that is narrow enough to keep those little legs pointing the right way. I go in and take her out to snuggle on and talk to a couple of times a day. They sleep so much at this point, I don't feel too bad keeping her in the glass away from the other little bullies. Hopefully they will be fine with her when she comes out, and hopefully, all healed.
