Help, spring feeder

Hi, I have bought one of the plastic barrels with a spring feeder.
How to I get my chickens to use it ?
Been there two days and they are ignoring it !!

Spring feeder, one of the ones with a bolt hanging down that drops feed when it is jiggled? Pictures please.

It has the spring hanging down and drops feed when jiggled
Have you ideas that could help ?
I have tried holding them and jiggling it .
I have put corn underneath to see if they knock it and notice.

Try painting it red or hanging a red thread or trinket from the bolt. I have never seen one with a spring. Upload a picture please.
