I have some eggs in an incubator, day21 will be in five days. I have a hen that is broody and has been on the eggs for one or two days. Once the chicks hatch from the incubator can I switch/move them to the hen and take HER eggs to MY incubator. Will the hen notice anything, since by that time she will be sitting for 7 days, then suddenly chicks hatch? Might she not care for them since she has only been sitting for a couple of days and not 21? Help please this is my first time I will try this..
Lastly if I do switch them and she does care for them, what do I feed her. By that I mean must I also put chick starter or will she feed them?.
