I noticed today that one of my chickens eye is starting to swell. How do I treat this? There is a picture of her swollen eye and a picture of her good eye.

Does she have any bubbles in her eye? It looks like there might be a peck mark or two around her eye. Do you think the swelling is due to that, or that she might have a respiratory infection? Is there any sneeze or cough, or nasal drainage? A swollen eye, if it wasn’t injured, can be a sign of mycoplasma (MG) which causes a sinus infection and conjunctivitis (pinkeye.) MG can be treated with Terramycin Eye Ointment and Tylan50 injectable given orally. Those can be found at many feed stores if you ask a cleark for them. Tylan is a cattle antibiotic used in chickens.

There is some natural drainage

I have Tyson 50. How do I give her that and how much?
