help, temp dropping

My chicks are now 4 weeks old. Sooooooo cute. I got a little tophat in the mix who is adorable, anyway, it's supposed to go down to 70 tonight. Do you think the babies will be alright without a heat lamp. They are in the coop all huddled together. Should I move the heat lamp in. They haven't had it in a week. Thanks,

I would use the heat lamp. Just put it in one end of the coop so they can get comfortable if they get cold.

Boy, I wish it was in the 70's here....

For those that don't know Texas geography, Rockport and Corpus Christi, Texas are about 30 miles apart, as the crow flies. Tropical heat and humidity are absolutely opressive here and it will be this way, usually, until about October! We won't need to worry about our chickens' feet freezing EVER...
