Okay so this is my first hatch... I'm on day 10 and the eggs are dark masses now with little fluttering darker shapes in the dark masses... From what I can tell that's a good sign.

However - I'm very worried because the air bubbles are all sort of diagonal from the small end to the middle of the egg - Not on the larger end of the egg.

I've had them all cushioned on their sides with the smaller end pointed slightly downward to help orient them.

I sort of understand that the air sac would be more of a semi-horizontal shape because of the way I've had them laying but I would think it would be from the large end to the middle...

But alas the air bubble is certainly more at the bottom (or small end) of the egg...

I'm feeling like I should correct this somehow but... How?

I don't want to do anything drastic and hurt the developing embryos.

They are all developing correctly as far as I can tell otherwise.

They are araucana so it is a bit trickier to see inside all of them.

Thank you in advance for your help!

I agree with MrsLB. There is not much you can do at this point except wait and see what hatches. Many happy hatching vibes to you!

Thank you all for your well wishes.

I took them out of the little foam cups and set them all on their sides on the bottom of the incubator so that they can orient themselves as they please.

I'm thinking it might be best to go with the "natural" approach.

I really want them to hatch. If they don't I will try again.

I'll be sure to post how the hatch turns out.
