Help!!! This is my last hope!

I'm trying to think...she had a RIR I know, and I think a sex link..but, having said that, she now has sex links and they are fine. They were getting older. I personally thought that there wasn't enough room for them, and that they needed to free range some. Well, she does have less birds in there now, just right for the size of coop and run. That really makes a difference.

I agree space makes all the difference.

Folks start out with what seems to be plenty of space, the chicks are so little and the coop and run seem simply vast. Then, they got older, and bigger, and cranky with laying hormones. The cockerels come of age and things might change some.....but sometimes they limp along, everyone doing okay. Then, something might change. Could be molting in this case, the birds are of the right age. Or the weather is getting cooler, the days are getting shorter and the birds are spending more time in the coop. I don't anthropomorphize too much, but I know when I"m stuck in the house due to bad weather, etc, I tend to get pretty cranky with my housemates. I'd imagine birds do the same.
