  1. Hi, I'm setting up my first coop and I have bought some horizontal chicken nipples so I can add them to a bucket to make my drinker. My problem is that I don't have a drill bit big enough (the largest I have is an 8mm) and they didn't come with any instructions. Does anyone know what sized bit I need to buy please?

These are the nipples I bought http://www.solwayfeeders.com/products/side-mounted-nipple-pdr0032-c64.html

Any advice would be gratefully received :)

    Thanks
    Stacy

I used a 3/8 bit and screwed them in as much as I could by hand and then used a pair of pliers to snug them up with out stripping them out.

With the tapered thread design as long as you can start them in the hole. They don't have to bottom out to seal.
