help to sex my peachick

hy can u please help me if my peachick is male or female. the breeder sad to me a month ago that it's 100% female.

she or he is now round 3 months old and it's geting greenish feathers on back of her neck

Here is my male about the same age as your fella notice how it has barring on the feathers.

females become a solid color as they loose all their barring

I am going to go out on the contrary limb and say female. You see how the barring is not uniform and close together? There are also feathers with no barring. I believe you do have a female that is losing the initial barring. If you put it next to a male it would be more obvious.

But Hey, I have been wrong before.

Lol confused now. AugeredIn now that u mention in it makes some sense. I allso called a guy again and he said that its 2 months old...

Zazouse i was looking ure male and its more redish on his back than my. And more like female color like?

Color is not going to be a deciding factor. It is all about the barring. The males will continue to grow feathers that concentrate the barring in dense patterns. The hens feathers will grow out with only one or two bars initially and then be replaced by feathers with faint or no barring. You can see on Zazouse's photos above of hens, they still have some of that single barring on some feathers at that age.

And I would have commented earlier that it looked about two months old based on barring but I did not want to rock the boat too much.

As I said, I have been wrong before.
