Help! Trouble breathing!!

Help! I just encountered a new thing -- all of a sudden I became aware that Ladybug was making this very weird noise -- like a honk or bray -- it's like something is stuck in her breathing tube. It's not going away and gets worse when she's trying to talk. It's almost like the passage from her nose is fine but not from her mouth. Maybe something went down the wrong pipe as she was scratching around. What do I do? Any ideas? I just brought her in, gave her water with rescue remedy in it and some yogurt. Yikes! I'm shaking. I hate that she is having trouble breathing!!!

Actually, it seems like her nasal passage is partially blocked -- they were dust bathing earlier and eating some powdery feed -- maybe something got up her nose -- she's inside with her friend Badger for comfort (I don't think it's contagious because it happened all at once) -- they are in the "mobile chicken chateaux" aka the dog crate and she is quiet. This all happened right before dinner time and bedtime. She was frantic to be down in the coop to go to roost and was honking and wheezing up a storm. As soon as I put her in the crate her noises lessened but when she tries to make certain noises to Badger the honk/bray comes out instead. I'm almost convinced something is stuck in her nasal passage. She did try to blow her nose a few times and scratched at her right nostril. Perhaps just one side is blocked. Any help would be appreciated. I hope that she will sleep through the night and I can help her tomorrow.

Give the bird water to drink and see if it flushes it out herself. If the suspected obstruction seems to continue being a problem, I used some warm water and drew 1 cc into a syringe without a needle. I hold the bird's head with the beak pointed towards the floor as to not aspirate the bird while I inject the the nostril with water. This is a method used with Vet-RX or other medications like Tylan in warm water for clearing sinuses/treating sinus infections.
