Help, turkeys calling all day and night!

Sooo, we already had 9 hens in a huge coop+run and finally took the plunge and added three 3-month old turkeys. How much harder/louder/more obtrusive could they be, right? Yikes, VERY! We took in two girls and a boy, all a Narragansett/midget white cross. Cute as all getout, but they follow within a foot of each other and call and respond constantly for 24/7. No breaks. They actually have a beautiful sound, but they are driving our elderly neighbors and the area dogs crazy.

I'm wondering if this is a turkey thing, a new home thing, or both. Has anyone tried a no-call collar on turkeys? I have found nothing about it on the internet. Thanks for any input!

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! I'm afraid I'm. Or a turkey person so can't be of much help,on their behaviour. They sure do sound a handful!! Please do drop by the turkey section of the forum. I'm sure the turkey keepers there will be able to help you. Here is the link ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/20/turkeys

Wishing you the very best of luck and enjoy BYC :frow
