Yes it's best to leave it because it's not ready to hatch, leave it in the incubator. Helping them too early can kill them. Just wait now until the yolk is absorbed and the chicks are trying to get out.

I lost them one of them were dark, the other was yellow. The yellow chick was the one I couldn’t see. Once the dark chick died , we started working on getting him out, then we noticed there was movement behind it, and got it out, put the live one in the incubator and it died too. I’m really bummed about it. I really appreciate all the help. They were indeed not in the position to pip, however I do not think they were quite ready yet. The yolk was “not” what I was looking at after all, it was it’s foot. There was no yolk left

You did all that you could. It is VERY difficult to successfully assist a hatch. Thank you for letting us know about what happened. I hope that you got some other chicks from the hatch.
