Help tylan 50

I have mixed medicine in a tiny amount of a treat such as egg or yogurt. If I know they will eat it, I use a few bread crumbs, raw egg, and yogurt mixed to hide the taste.
It looks like she is still not eating enough due to the green color. Hopefully she will eat more today.

Hey, not doing so good here. She seems to have taken a toll for the worst. She has ate some egg and is pooping more but refusing to drink now. She was standing and walking before but this afternoon just want to lay down. I'm super worried. I'm going to try the wormer safeguard. I'm just sick over this. Lost two silkie hens over the winter from unknown causes. Neither got better from the corid or antibiotics. Vitamins didn't help. Those two were still eating till they passed though and never had the green stool.

I'm really sorry that she is worse. I would try to get a necrospy done by your state vet if you should lose her. There is a good tube feeding thread by Casportpony called "Go team tube feeding" if you want to do a search for it. Tube feeding a good short term way of getting proper nutrition.I will check back in the morning.

Thanks, you have been so much help. Last night we gave her her third dose. Afterwards I set her down with her food. Amazingly she started eating. Alot. Acting like she was starved. I was shocked. Only awhile earlier I thought she was going to pass. Whatever she has must be covered by the tylan 50 or I don't think she would be getting better? There is still no guarantee she will make it but I'm so encouraged. I'll keep checking back with updates!

Hey eggcessive. We'll she lookednto be improving. She was eating and drinking again. Unfortunately she passed away last night. I'm so frustrated on not being able to help her. Someone told me I could save her body and have her checked to find out what she has passed from. Do you know how I could find someone to do this?

Take her or ship her to UC Davis. Necropsies used to be free, but now they $20 for 1-2 birds.
