Help! Unexpected ducklings

Duck math is the same as chicken math.

Ducklings looked after by their Mama should be OK even in cold weather, but as yours are now separated from Mama, they should not go outside until fully feathered. Unless you have a heat pad in the coop that the ducklings can live and sleep on in cold weather. They would have to be in a separate area from the chickens and ducks to ensure they get to use the heat pad and that they are not picked on by the other birds

The reason I separated them was because she abandoned them, and the other chickens and ducks were attacking them.

feed them chick starter or duckling feed with 1 TBSP of nutritional yeast mixed in for every 1 cup of food. start their brooder temp at 80-85 degrees and go down 5 degrees a week. after 7 or 8 weeks they should be fine outside. you can’t really speed up the hardiness, they have to grow and it takes 2 months
