we have a flock of 200+ laying hens who roam the pasture by day and are housed in two different coops at night. A couple times per week we find dead chickens in the one coop only and have now lost about 20 chickens. Their vents appear to be hollowed out by what seems like the other chickens eating them but I could be wrong. We are at the point of setting up a "chicken cam" to see if we can identify the problem unless of course one of you can shed light on this mystery. Please share your expertise and all suggestions will be further explored.
