Hi there!

We're new flock-keepers. Our Easter Egger, SweetPea, is sweet and cuddly. But we're beginning to wonder if "she" is a "he". She's 2.5 months old. Clucks, hasn't crowed. No dominant behaviours (other than chest bumping, but her sisters do that too). Please help? Thank you! I've tried to capture her comb, chest (slight red markings), saddle feathers, and funky tail spray in these photos.

Looks like a male to me with the long saddle feathers and thicker legs. I have a 20 week old rooster that has hardle any combs or waddles, while his brothers have the normal large/red ones. If it wasn't for his size and tail feathers I would think he was hen. I hope it's whatever you want it to be! Good luck!

Thank you for all your help thus far! I have read about sexing EEs and she does seem like a pullet to me, but this is our first flock. Those tail feathers throw me off. Maybe she's just a quirky girl. That works for us - we're a quirky bunch!

That looks like a pullet. There aren't any red splotches on the wings (which males often get). The comb is a little pink, but, overall, the color pattern looks female.
